It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Kateri Jacobs (Akwesasne, New York), who passed away on November 7, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband David "Chuggo" Jacobs; her daughter June Jacobs; her parents, William Cook and Freda Cook (Hoh); her sisters, Linda King and Helen Cook-Lazore; her niece Melissa King; her nephews, Charles Cook, Allen King and Landon Cook; her parents-in-law, Anne and Jonas Jacobs; and her siblings-in-law, George, Mike, Basil Joe, Alfred, Harriet, Louise and Cecelia.
She is survived by: her children, Jonas "Jake" of Akwesasne and Jocelyn "Tootsie" of Akwesasne; her grandchildren, Kode and Kiera; her godchildren, John Jacobs and Christine Caldwell; her children, Melissa Thompson and Patrick Jacobs; her siblings, William Cook, Jr., Joseph (Shawna), Bernard (Valerie), Mitchell (Christie), Sandra Cook of Akwesasne and Cecelia Mitchell (Randy) of Akwesasne; and her sister-in-law Mary Oakes. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to an Akwesasne Organization of their choice.
