It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kanenhakaion Wells (Akwesasne, New York), born in Ottawa, Ontario, who passed away on February 12, 2022, at the age of 20, leaving to mourn family and friends. Wells and Konwasennawi David; his partner Taya Albert; his daughter Ember Reign Wells; his stepmother Jenn Bob; his siblings, Rotsienhiio Wells, Tehawerahkhwa Wells, Kanorakwas David, Ienenstahawi David, Qayacus Wells and Qyiyek "Biggest Uncle" Wells; his grandparents, Ernest David, Sandra Fox, Darrell Bob (Theresa) and Lucy Saul (Perry Jacob); his aunts and uncles, Katsitsionni Fox, Konwawihon Fox (Brent), Katsitsios David, Kahawanion David, Chenoa Riley (Ken), Lightning Rose Wells (Terry), Spotted Fawn Wells (Ryan), Sky Fox, Chris Wells (Fran) and Alex Wells (Holly); his close friends, Colton Doxtator, Allyn Mandamin Logan Herne and Donovan Thompson; his family, Aksoht, Laksoht, Melissa (Tim) and Tammy (Mike); and his aunts, Smeesh (Rob), Elise and Teya.
