He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Boxy" LaFrance and Harriet LaFrance (Laughing); his siblings, Theresa, Alex and Phillip; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Garrow and Larry Ross.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Cook; his children, Margaret (David) and John (Heather) of Akwesasne; his grandchildren, Rarihwenhawi'Wishe' (Leah) of Ballston Spa, Drayden George and Makayleigh LaFrance of Akwesasne; his sisters, Carole Ross of Akwesasne and Valerie Garrow of Akwesasne; his goddaughter Lydia Garrow of Akwesasne; and also Logan'Tahakie'LaFrance. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jake's name to the Snye Recreation Hall, the American Legion Post 1479, and the American Legion Post 1479 Auxiliary Fund.
