With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Esther Thompson (Akwesasne, New York), who passed away on October 15, 2019 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Benedict and Agnes Benedict (Jacobs); her husband James Thompson; her sons, Joseph Thompson and Alexander Hollis Thompson; her son-in-law Sherwin Seymour; and her siblings, Morris E., Winston C., Edwin, Robert L. Benedict, May Cole and Charleen Cole.

She is survived by: her children, Robert James, Lucyann Thompson, Norris, Sylvia Thompson, Velma, Leon Cook, Roger, Peggy Thompson, Lucille, Ronnie Cook, Luke Thompson, Kathy Herne, Timmy, Becca Thompson, Ruth Seymour, Maureen Thompson, Howie Jock, Stephanie Thompson, Harvey Delormier, Sara and Brennan Thompson; and her siblings, Helen Benedict, Margaret Rhode, Betty David and Charles "Buster". She is also survived by 43 grandchildren, 81 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
