It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Jacobs of Akwesasne, New York, born in Hogansburg, New York, who passed away on August 16, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Jacobs (Ransom) and Michael K. Jacobs Knights of Columbus Council; his sons, Charles and Carlos Jacobs; his siblings, Francis "Frank" Jacobs, Lillian Herne and Dorothy Jacobs; and his nephew Mike Herne.
He is survived by: his wife Alberta "Linda" Arquette; his children, Christopher, Jennifer Jacobs of Dansville, NY, Clinton, Lucy Jacobs of Akwesasne, Curtis and Suzy Jacobs of Akwesasne; and his sister Margaret "Marge" Hamlin of Canandaigua, NY.. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Hogansburg Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department.
