He is survived by: his mother-in-law Jo Ann (Swain); his wife Jo Ann Hanft (Swain); his children, Laurie Mitzel (David), Susie Alston and Thomas Hanft Jr. (Barbara); his sister Linda Alexander (late Robert); and his grandchildren, Michael Mitzel (Carolyn), Jeffery Mitzel, Andrew Mitzel (Melissa), Phyllissa Mitzel, Johnathan Ruhlman, Jillian Wilson (Jacob), Corey Rosenthal, Thomas Hanft III (Meghan), Erica Martin (Curtis), Jeremy Robnett (Ashley), Nathan Robnett and Alexander Robnett. He is also survived by Ten great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Charitable donations may be made in Thomas' name to Hospice Buffalo.
