He was predeceased by: his father Harold E. Bergquist; and his brother David Bergquist. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Bergquist (Lindke); and his children, Jacqueline Worden (Will), Harold "Ed" Bergquist and Jaime Bergquist. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
