He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Baker and Beatrice Baker (Ogden); and his brothers, Leslie and Bruce Baker. He is survived by: his wife Marie Baker (Brightenfield); his children, Cheryl Mooney (Pierce) and Tom Baker (Theresa); and his grandchildren, Rachel Barnard (Brian), Alyssa Tsai (Christopher), Shannon Sank (Daniel) and Mark Baker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Gary's memory to the Newstead Fire Company or the First Baptist Church of Akron.
