He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rebecca Shepard (Furman) and George W. Shepard; his significant other Doreen Carlquist; his daughter Kristen of Airmont; his daughter-in-law Chantelle; his son Duncan Shepard (Chantelle) of Newington, CT; his sisters, Shari Sauter (Byron) of Schenectady and Liza Winston (Kip) of Hodges, SC; his nephew Adam Sauter; his niece Sophie Winston; and also Doreen. He was also cherished by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Funeral home and will be used to honor George at his favorite library, the International Motor Racing Research Center (Watkins Glen, NY).
