He is survived by: his siblings, Jack Briggs, Ada Rice, Cathy Venth (Bob), Jane Skellet, Linda Mead (Joe), Floyd Briggs (Franny), Dan Briggs (Shelia) and Susan Newton (Gene). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of Chenango County or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
