The passing of Pauline Phillips Root of Addison, New York, born in Woodhull, New York leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on March 24, 2025 at the age of 101. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles B. Phillips of Addison, N. Y. and Ruth Mae Cummins of Woodhull, N. Y.; her husband William R. Root; her sons, Dr. William Root and Bruce Root; and her siblings, Beverly Hallett, Shirley Phillips and Charles Phillips.
She is survived by: her daughters, Constance McCarrick of Addison, N. Y. and Cherlyn Davis Croucher (Melvin) of Delray Beach, FL; her granddaughters, Dawn McCarrick and Cheryl Bieren (James); her great grandchildren, Kiersten (Chris) and Laura; and her great great grandchild Autumn of Massachusetts. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Addison Presbyterian Church (5 Church St, Addison, NY 14801). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Addison Rural Cemetery.
