He is survived by: his children, Mike W. (Rosie), Sheryl E. Robertson (Richard), JoAnn M. Lowrey, Denise A. Winfield (Jeffrey) and Joseph P. McConnell (Christine Tietje); his grandchildren, Sara (Bill), Steven (JoAnn), Spencer, Sam (Marissa), Torrie, Chad, Jessica (Tyler), Helen (Christopher), Dustin, Krystle (Matthew), Hannah, Katherine and Megan; his caregiver Chelsea Reed RN; and his nieces, Jackie, Sheila, Nancy and Donna. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great great grandchildren.
