He is survived by: his parents, Kenneth C. Garbutt and Dorris R. Lancor Garbutt; his spouse Patricia A. Patenaude; and his daughter Jennifer L. Winahradsky (Kevin M.) of North Carolina. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
