He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Griffith and Kathleen Griffith (Premo); and his siblings, Michael, Susan Hooper Gibson and Judy Bussey.

He is survived by: his spouse Laurie Herzig McDaid; his children, Andrea, Michael Renwick of West Leyden and Daniel McDaid of Tonawanda; his granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Paige; his siblings, Cheryl Griffith of Schenectady and Kay Perry (Jack) of Texas; and his pets, Morgan, Guinness and Koda. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in his memory to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 1331 E Wyoming Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19124.
