She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Cleveland Smith and Emily Smith (Kowing); her brother Bud Smith, Jr.; her former husband Royce Richard Cates; her grandchildren, Christopher Lee Cates and Ashley Dawn Marriott; and her great grandchildren, Cole and Cody Kilpack.
She is survived by: her children, Lorna Lee Marriott, Rolland Cleve Cates and Levi Larmar Cates (Kathleen). She is also survived by nine step-children, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mountain View Park (95 Mountain Ln, Yerington, NV 89447).
