He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Pitts and Anita Pitts; and his brother Charlie. He is survived by: his spouse Judith C. Akens; his children, Scott, Michael and Chris; his daughter-in-law Dawn; his siblings, Marsha and Bob; and his grandchildren, Matthew Brandy (Trelena), Shannoah, Christopher, Bodie, Abby and Robert.
