He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Meckley; his children, Tina Schultz (Randell), Debbie Ames, Robert Meckley Jr. and Melinda Roeder (Jacob); and his grandchildren, Thomas Ames, Trevor Ames, Tanner Ames (Ali), Tyler Ames, Dusty Meckley, Jacey Roeder and Natalie Roeder. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was a volunteer for rsvp where he transported clients to their Dr. appointments.
