She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert O. Powell and Dorothy Stakel Powell; and her sisters, Ruth and Marie. She is survived by: her siblings, Ann, Kathy, Patricia, Norman, Wayne and Gene. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, it was Barbara's wish to have donations made to the Humboldt Museum.
