She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Nelson, Sr.; her daughter Janet Nelson; her parents, Jakob "Jack" Jelvik and Martha Jelvik (Unzelman); and her siblings, Alvin "Al" Jelvik, Warner Jelvik, Nyals "Jimmy" Jelvik, Robert "Bobbie" Jelvik, Jack "Jackie" Jelvik, Otto Jelvik, George Jelvik, Jerald Jelvik, Pearl Davis (Jelvik), Buelah "Bootsie" Carlson (Jelvik) and Juanita "Nita" Nunley (Jelvik).
She is survived by: her children, Linda Steele (Nelson) of Reno, NV, Donald Nelson, Jr. (Katie) of Bakersfield, CA and Richard Nelson of Reno, NV; and her sister Alyda "Lyda" Schmaltz (Jelvik) of Battle Ground, WA. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
