She was predeceased by: her parents, Lelan David Bluemel and Ava Maryett Walker; her husband David A. Coates; her son Neal David Coates; her siblings, Reynold, Robert and Marjorie; and her grandson Jaden Pfeil.
She is survived by: her children, Mark A. Coates (Colleen) of Sparks, Meg Gray of Spring, TX, Linda James (Don) of Riverton, UT, Adel Pfeil (Mike) of Fishers, IN and Dian Hoff (Randy) of Parker, CO; her brother Rodney Bluemel (Nola) of Lyman, WY; and also Thora. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
