Donald Edward Nowaczewski Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Edward Nowaczewski (Sparks, Nevada), who passed away on February 11, 2018. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald Edward Nowaczewski to pay them a last tribute.
He was close, Mark is now a 6'4" pitcher for the UNR baseball team. Because of his passion for the game, Don donated endless years to Little League and Babe Ruth until the boys moved on to high school and college. His perfect day would be spent sitting in the stands at Peccole Field rooting on his son and the Wolf Pack. His voice would resonate throughout the stadium.
If he couldn't be at the ballpark, he would be on a warm sunny beach in Hawaii or on a gorgeous golf course. On the outside he seemed large, gruff and loud, but those that penetrated that exterior were lucky enough to know his dry sense of humor, smirk of a smile and warm friendship. There was always a reason for a party and he threw some of the best which still are reminisced about.
He was a good friend, loving father and thoughtful husband who will truly be missed. He is survived by his wife Gine of 27 years; son Mark Nowaczewski and step sons Matthew (Tracy Pulium) Harris and Ben (Kara) Harris; sister Donna Nowaczewski from Michigan; brother Doug (Teri) Nowaczewski and nieces Kaysee and Sarah from Michigan.
And two of the cutest granddaughters, Stella and Livvy Harris. Plus many great loving friends. A celebration of life will be held March 30th. Contact the family for place and time. Those who cannot attend, please join us for a tailgate at Peccole Field on March 31st to root on the Wolf Pack vs UNLV. In lieu of flowers, donations to the University of Nevada Baseball Peccole Park Renovation are truly appreciated.
