He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vincent Edward, Sr. and Margaret Stearns Sauer; his wife Jane Stephens; his daughters, Victoria Sauer-Lamb of Reno, Nevada, Ginny Shanks (Tony) of Reno, Nevada and Venetia Gray (David) of Reno, Nevada; his grandchildren, Joshua Bratzler (Jennette) of Spring Hill, Amanda Bratzler, Christopher Shanks (Therese), Jessica Lamb (Scott), Tyler Shanks (Kelsey), Michael Bratzler and Sarah Gray of Reno, Nevada; his great grandchildren, Jane, Benjamin, Luke Bratzler, Madeleine, Jacqueline Shanks and Knox Polan; his cousin Donna Caldwell of Carson City, Nevada.; and his caregiver Olga. He was also cherished by three daughters, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
