He was predeceased by: his daughter Shari Marie Spears. He is survived by: his wife Deanna Inez Spears; and his son Roger Spears (Amie Lynn) of Norton Shores. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters and 1 brother; many nieces and nephews.
