He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen Lewis (Byerwalter); his son Russell Lewis; his mother Ruby "Laveeda" Lewis; his brother Alton Lewis; and his close friends, Peanut and Ralph.

He is survived by: his brother-in-law Russell; his daughter Carrie Anne Lewis (Bonnie); his siblings, Darrell, Perry Lewis and Judy Williams; and his close friend Bonnie Sandusky.

During the Covid lockdown he spent most his time watching every single movie on Netflix and hanging with family and grand-dog Alice.
