He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Kirk and Betty D. Kirk (Harley); and his wife Ethel Rhae Mackey. He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Clifford (David) and Faye Fanning (James); his grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin (Tay), Kayla (Mike) and Dustin; his great grandchildren, Kyler, Kayson, Keaton and Mia; and his brother Phil Kirk (Connie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He advocated for the Wild Horse Project and served on the Nevada Agricultural Foundation, as well as being a member of the Nevada Veterinary Accreditation Program.
