With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnn Elston (Reno, Nevada), who passed away on December 10, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Foster and Margaret Foster of Carson City; and her husband Jim. She is survived by: her children, Mark Elston (Beverly) and Lori Elston; her grandchildren, Jennifer Elmore (Darin), Rebecca Josten (Christopher Brown), Jim Elston (Sommer) and Michael Elston (Alyssa); her great grandchildren, Mary, Nancy, Parker, Dawson, Sawyer, Paige, Brianna and Isla Jade; her sister Nancy MacDonald; her niece Sharon Kestrel (Ray); her nephew Erik Svensson (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Derik and Emma Svensson; and her cousins, Carla Paulsen, Larry Trobaugh, Jan Wagner, Jenny Owens (Jerry), Mike Elston (Vicki), Peggy Hughes (George) and Jim Foster (Kim Suratt).
She helped with fundraising for band uniforms when they were needed and served on many university boards including the University of Nevada Foundation.
