He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sharon (Bell); his sons, Timothy Smith (Elizabeth) of Portland and Christopher (Kristina) of Alamo; his grandsons, Kevin (Hannah), Jake, Jordan and Blake; his siblings, Joe (Janet), Judy (Merle) and Jim (Kathy); and his parents, Charlene Smith (Simpson) and Frank Smith. He was also cherished by nieces, a nephew and their children.
