She was predeceased by: her mother Inez M. Chavez; and her siblings, Irma and Dennis. She is survived by: her husband Julian Vela; her children, Javier (Angela), Rebekah, Joshua (Corina), Jason and Justine (Eric); and her siblings, Javier (Kazue), Sandy (late Mohammed), Terry (Nancy), Roxanne (George) and Francisco. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
