He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Randolph and Mary Randolph; his sister Joan; and his brother-in-law Ray Nelson. He is survived by: his children, David Ivan, Jr., Thomas Lloyd and Catherine Mary Randolph Malapanes; his daughter-in-law Darlene Dougherty; his wife Darlene; his daughter-in-law Cheryl; his daughter Kate; his son-in-law Jim Malapanes; his granddaughter Theresa Sim; his grandson-in-law Jeff Sim; his grandson Jeremy; his granddaughter-in-law Heather; and his siblings-in-law, Ann, Gary Dougherty and Martha. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews & great nieces & nephews.
He served for several years as Chairman of the Board of the Korean Tae Kwon Do Foundation dedicated to assisting low-income children & families to better themselves through the Korean martial arts.
