He was predeceased by: his significant other Nancy Hudson; his parents, Charles and Emma; and his brothers, Arlo, Arthur and James.
He is survived by: his sisters, Ruth of Kalamazoo and Rosemary of Sarasota, Florida; and his children, Jon of Bloomington, Jerry of Reno, Nevada and Jane of Elizabethtown. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
