He was predeceased by: his mother Geneva Matthews; and his grandson Marcus Emmons. He is survived by: his wife Hortencia Leven; his children, Cynthia Davis (Willie), Julia Wigington (Brian) and Richard Leven Jr.; his father Albert Leven Sr. (Becky); and his siblings, Albert Leven, LeRoy Leven, Janice Elias, Annette, Elizabeth, June and Janie of Michigan. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 44 nieces and nephews.
