“Munir was a strong caring person. In 1971 , I met him first time in Rochelle , Illinois where he was Dye House manager of a local textile plant. Coming to the US as a migrant expecting no help from any quarter , Munir was there to offer me a job in the laboratory. Over 3 years , our friendship got closer, time we shared, I will always cherish. He will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. I quote scripture,“ Say not in grief’ he is no more’ but in thankfulness that he was””

“Munir and I met in first year of college in 1955 back in our home country. He was a gentle soul - despite of his towering physique he never threw his weight around. Munir other than enjoying a perfectly brewed cup of tea was avid motor bike enthusiastic. He owned an iconic blazing yellow Indian motor bike it was like Harley Davidson but much sleeker. We got to biked around the winding hilly roads close by. And over the recent years we kept in touch. We would miss him. May he rest in peace.”
