She is survived by: her parents, Herbert Douglas and Dorothy Barnes; her husband Lawrence R. Nias; her children, Tiesha S. Stewart and David L. Nias; her niece Jacinda Chislum Pearson; her granddaughter Nijah R. Crawford; her great grandchild Nayla Hanks; and her sister Patricia Jackson. She is also survived by in-laws, niece, nephew and a host of extended family.
