He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar E. Smith and Allene D. Smith (Engel); his siblings, Eugene Smith (Debbie) and Marion (Bobby Hitt); and his brother-in-law Bob Wyatt.
He is survived by: his brothers, Fred (Marni Smith) and George (Joyce Smith); and his sisters-in-law, Louise Wyatt of Ada, Oklahoma, Delores and Dallas Fowler of Geneva, Nebraska.
He also contributed to the Statute of Liberty Foundation and the Richardson Texas Symphony.
