He was predeceased by: his wife Elinor Caroleen Blackham (Parry); his son Gary Montel Blackham; his sisters, Judy Lynn Smith (Blackham) and Cindy Lee Adams (Blackham); and his parents, Montel Hyrum Blackham and Arda June Blackham (Allred).

He is survived by: his daughters, Monica Hinds (Jerome) of Bowbells and Keli Lyons (Mike Jannacone) of Ely, Nevada; his grandchildren, Justin, Elizabeth, Brandi Hinds of Bowbells, Matthew (Sara) of Minot, Nicholas, Brady, Sebastian, Lacey Lyons of Ely, Chantal (Sonny Davis) of McGill, Joseph Lyons (Cami) of Lehi and Madison Blackham of Emmett, Idaho; his great grandchildren, Ikaika, Lilly, Seth Jr., Monty and Suede; his siblings, Ruth Drake of Ely, Elaine Blackham of McGill and Steven Blackham of Ely, Nevada; his great-aunt Ruth Dyson; and his nephew Jason Scott Adams (Terry Martinez). He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.

Ronald also Co-Founded the Bristlecone Mule Deer Foundation Chapter in White Pine County.
