He is survived by: his wife Cris Poynor Kump; his stepchildren, Quinn Poynor (Emilee) and Jeannie Fox (Ray); his grandsons, Dalton Poynor (Alex) and Kaleb Frankford; his great grandchild Brinlee Poynor; and his sister Sherry Holder. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
