She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Heather and Dessie Heather; her son Jimmie Lee Green; her siblings, Wanda Branson, Nellie Carpenter, David Sanders (Bud) and Kenneth Sanders; her son-in-law Galen E. Ortiz; and her nephew Robert Weaver.
She is survived by: her husband Jessie J. Owens; her daughter Janet Lee Ortiz; her grandchildren, Austin L. Rooney, Christopher T. Moxon and Jessica Smith (Deyon); her great grandchildren, Tulip, Eland James and Sky; and her niece Margaret Weaver.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Palm Mortuary - Downtown (1325 N Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89101). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Palm Downtown Mortuary & Cemetery (1325 N Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89101).
