It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joelena Gay of Las Vegas, Nevada, who passed away on July 25, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Estee Wells. She is survived by: her children, Milton Gay III (Doris) and Millena Gay; her grandchildren, Doris Gay, John Rice, Vanessa Robbins, Tyler Robbins, Milton Gay IV, Lola Gay, Angela Rice and Brighten Ezor; her brother Estee Wells Jr. (La'Tonya); her niece LaTeesha Gattis (Ray); and her nephew Aaron Wells (Esi). She is also survived by other family members and friends.

“Joelena was my friend. She approached the universe in her unique way. Joelena came from a family of educators and she likewise became an educator. She rose to the level of school principal in California before retiring. But there was more to her then just education. Yes, she liked to talk. We traveled, along with my wife, Felicia and Friend Barry...to many cities and countries. I meet her at a small aircraft flying competition, where, she as a student pilot, won an award.
