He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Grimes and Florence Swartz Grimes; his wife Elizabeth "Bette" Grimes; his sons, Everett Glen Grimes, Virgil Stan Grimes and Russell Grimes; and his siblings, Ira Grimes, Gerald Grimes, Mary Manning, Lois Campbell, Catherine Dunn, Hilda Craig and Rebecca Grimes.
He is survived by: his daughter Vicky Jean Grimes; his grandson Peter Joseph "PJ" Arnone; his brothers, Everett Grimes and Ernest Grimes; his stepchildren, John Fadgen, Kathleen Fadgen Chilton, Michael Fadgen, Kevin Fadgen and Brian Fadgen; and his grandchildren, Bradley Fadgen, Jessica Fadgen, Connor Chilton, Lara Chilton, Taylor Fadgen and Dylan Fadgen. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
