He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hanson and Inez Hanson; his brothers, Lyle and Gary; and his siblings-in-law, Leighton Smith, Larry Kitchel and Sandy Hanson.
He is survived by: his spouses, Dorthea Voelger and Arlene Roe; his children, Shelly Davis (Don), Paula Nielens, Gig Harbor and Bradley Nielens (Heidi) of Seattle, WA; his stepchildren, Christine Carr (Norbert), LaRay Moio, Korie Schwartzbauer and Jason Schaffer (Amanda) of Jamestown, ND; his siblings, Mavis Smith of Adrian, Karen Lagodinski (Leon), Debra Kitchel, Nyrobi Kenya Africa, Tracy Dale, Arnold of Adrian, ND, Donald, Gene, Kenneth, Randy and Brian; and his sister-in-law Elaine Hanson of Pasadena, TX. He is also survived by many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
It was Alvin's wish that donations be made to any veteran's organization in his memory.
