Words of sympathy

Marty Martinson wrote a sympathy message

“Scott and I were in the same platoon as second lieutenants at The Basic School in 1971. Even that early in his career, he established himself as a professional, gentleman Marine Officer. His contagious sense of humor and smile , Red Dog, could make anyone laugh. We served in Okinawa in 1972-1973 in sister battalions and then, again, as fellow company commanders in 1st Battalion, 8th Marines in 1977-1978. His passing has stunned all of his fellow Marines. God bless him and Marie-Therese.”
