Edward left this world on February 8, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Loretta Buzbee and Edgar William Merrell; and his son Bud Merrell. He is survived by: his wife Cassie Merrell; his children, Cindy Kirtley, Justine Johnson and Darryl Merrell; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Kosloske, Bud Merrell Jr., Shawna Westenthaul, Heather Hein, Steven Johnson, Jessica McCabe, Dawnelle Johnson and Shawnelle Johnson. He is also survived by 26 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Palm Mortuary (800 S Boulder Hwy, Henderson, NV 89015). The military honors will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:40 AM at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery (1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, NV 89005).
