He is survived by: his parents, Floyd Hearn and Patricia Hearn (Shepherd); his wife Alesia Dommer; his daughter Caitlin Shimer (Sean); his granddaughter Tabitha Shimer; and his sisters, Lori Poupeney, Kathy Jones and Julie Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations in Carl's memory be made to ASPCA of Oregon.
