She was predeceased by: her siblings, Roger Ferrel (Jean) of Lakeside, OR and Jeanine Byrd of Fernley; and her children, Garth Ackerman and Anna Ackerman (Susie). She is survived by: her children, Stacie Orozco (Pete) and Greg Ackerman (Rhonda) of Fernley; and also, Gary Ackerman (Dee) of Reno, Gordon Ackerman (Kim) of Lincoln, CA, Glen Ackerman of Sparks and Guy Ackerman (Angela) of Fallon. She is also survived by one grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
