We are sad to announce that on March 20, 2025, at the age of 89, George Larry Carnes (Ely, Nevada), born in La Harpe, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though George Larry may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those George Larry touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Carnes and Mildred Hallengren Carnes. He is survived by: his son Kevin Michael of Ogden, Utah; his wife Bonnie; his daughters, Renae Budak (Mike Oxborrow) of Ely and Sandra Carnes (Mark Wallace) of Las Vegas; his granddaughters, Erin Budak of Elko and Kaitlin Jordan (Jon) of Spring Creek, Nevada; and his great grandchildren, Corbin Larry Jordan and Brynlee Rose Jordan.
