Mignon "Carole" (Lindberg) Cooper Obituary

Mignon “Carole” Lindberg-Cooper
June 29, 1943 - Nov. 27, 2020

With a heavy heart we announce the unexpected passing of Mignon “Carole” Lindberg-Cooper on November 27th, at the age of 77, in Carson City, Nevada. She was born in San Francisco June 29, 1943 to Erick and Mignon (Nyrop) Lindberg. After graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1960, she received her Masters Degree from San Francisco State University; afterwards, teaching children with special education needs. She married Kent Colliander in 1963 at Lakeside Presbyterian Church and the following year were blessed with a daughter, Britta, of Silver Springs, Nevada. In 1994 she married Glenn Cooper and together they continued to operate her Nevada commercial trucking business until his death in 2009. She was a very intuitive human being with a definitive style and a great perspective on life. Wonderful humor, beautiful smile, and a generous heart. These traits will be greatly missed by all who came to know her. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother John, and is survived by her loving companion Don Lane, devoted daughter Britta with long time partner Debee Alford, nephews John Jr (Korene) and Erick Lindberg, niece Sharise (Craig) Caron, sister-in-law Marie Lindberg, great nephews, Blake and Conor Lindberg, and great nieces, Lola and Gianna Caron; she relished them all. Miss Carole, Mom, Aunt, and Cousin, you will always be in our thoughts and forever captured in our hearts. The world is a better place because you were in it. You will be missed very much, but as you said, “we’re all just passin’ thru...” Special thanks to Carson Tahoe Hospital (ICU Staff) of Nevada for their excellent and compassionate care. Due to the Coronavirus, the family plans a Celebration of Life with scattering of ashes at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a tribute gift, to Animal Rescue of Northern Nevada, PO Box 1, Fernley, Nevada 89408 (1-775-229-3708)
