He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Kadlec Kolsky and James Kolsky Sr.; and his former wife Jennifer Kolsky. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, James D. Kolsky (Cathy) of Modesto, California and Janet of Encino, California; his stepchildren, Lisa Bussy (Chuck) and Christopher L. Peterson of El Dorado, Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Carly and Jamie.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Myositis Society would be nice.
