He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvia Mayer and Carl Mayer; his wife Doris; his siblings, Betty Drake and Jack Mayer; and his grandson Keegan Garber.
He is survived by: his children, Rick (Jennie) and Vicki (Edward); and his great grandchild Anakin Garber. He is also survived by several nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.
