We are sad to announce that on October 28, 2021, at the age of 74, Alva Phelps (Boulder City, Nevada), born in Saginaw, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Ripley of Henderson, NV; his sons, Daniel Phelps and Jason Phelps (Michelle) of Jacksonville, FL; his stepchildren, Eric Maxwell of Syracuse, NY and Kristin Blackstone (John) of Las Vegas, NV; and his siblings, Gene Phelps (Karen), John Phelps (Karen) and Christine Miller (Jim). He is also survived by several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

“So sorry to here of Al's passing. I worked in the same group with him at Hughes Aircraft and JT3 from 1989 up until his retirement. He was always so dedicated to the cause at hand and had such a strong work ethics. Did not get to visit with him nearly enough as I should have and I will surely regret that.”
