He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hovland and Icyle Hovland; and his siblings, Herman, Gaylor, Selmer and Dorothy Stewart.
He is survived by: his sister Rosemarie Lower of Logan, NM; his nieces and nephews, Debbie, Russ Manies of Bend, LeeAnn, Mark Griffin of Omaha, Darrell and Michele Hovland of Aurora, Missouri; his grandchildren, Ryan, Andi Manies, Stephanie, Chris Mock, Gavin Hovland, Jeff Griffin, Kyle Griffin and Charley Hovland; his great grandchildren, Alivia, Izzy Manies, Lucina and Lily Mock; and his caregiver Robin.
